Set Up a Weekly AI Content Routine

Follow on Instagram

Every Monday at 7 am, an AI drafts a new article for my website, puts it on a private preview, writes that week's three LinkedIn posts and checks my site is healthy. Nothing goes live until I say "publish". Here's how to build your own version.

In this guide

  • The 4 parts of a weekly content routine
  • A topic bank that never runs dry
  • The exact weekly prompt
  • The approval rule that keeps you in control

Why a routine beats motivation

Most people don't have a content problem. They have a consistency problem. "I'll write this week" turns into three months of nothing. A routine removes the decision: the draft is waiting for you every Monday whether you felt like it or not.

The 4 parts

  1. A topic bank — questions your audience asks, in priority order
  2. One long piece a week — an article or guide that answers one question properly
  3. Repurposing — 3 short posts made from that long piece
  4. Your approval — a human reads everything before it's published

Step 1 — Build your topic bank (20 minutes, once)

Write 15 questions you hear from clients, in DMs, on sales calls or in comments. Order them by how often you hear them. That's 15 weeks of content.

Help me build a content topic bank. My audience: [who]. My expertise: [what]. Here are questions I hear often: [paste]. Suggest 15 more questions they search on Google or ask ChatGPT. Group all of them into 4 themes and order them by how valuable the answer would be to someone ready to buy.

Step 2 — The weekly prompt

Give your AI tool your facts once (your story, numbers, offers, client results) and then run this every week:

Using ONLY the facts I've given you (never invent clients, numbers or quotes), write: 1. An article answering: "[next question from the bank]". Start with a 3-sentence direct answer, then 4–6 sections with headings, practical steps, and 3 FAQs. 900–1,200 words, first person, simple language. 2. Three LinkedIn posts based on the article: one teaching the main idea, one story or example, one short contrarian take. Hook in the first line, short lines, no links in the post. 3. One Instagram Reel script: hook (3 seconds), body (30 seconds), one call to action. Mark anything you're unsure is true with [CHECK].

Step 3 — Automate the schedule

You have two options:

  • Simple: a recurring calendar block every Monday, 30 minutes — you paste the prompt, the AI writes, you edit
  • Automatic: use the scheduled-task feature in ChatGPT or Claude so the prompt runs itself every Monday morning and the draft is waiting for you

Mine goes one step further: it saves the article to my website as a draft, deploys a private preview, and sends me a report with the link.

Step 4 — The approval rule (non-negotiable)

AI does the work. You keep the decision. Read every draft. Fix anything that isn't true or doesn't sound like you. Only then publish. Your name is on it — and your reputation is the one thing AI can't rebuild for you.

What one routine gives you in a year

52 articles that keep bringing people from Google and AI search, and 156 LinkedIn posts — from 30 minutes of review a week.

Do this today: write down 15 questions your audience asks. That list is the engine — once it exists, the routine runs itself.

Questions

Will AI-written content hurt my reputation?

Only if you publish it unread. Give the AI real facts, forbid invented claims, and edit every draft so it sounds like you.

Which AI tool should I use?

Any capable assistant — ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini — works for drafting. Pick the one you already use; the routine matters more than the tool.

How long does the weekly review take?

Around 30 minutes to read, edit and approve one article and three posts once the routine is running.
